Middle Island lighthouse is just off shore from near Alpena. The day I was there we were suppose to take a day trip out for lunch at the island, but the sky darkened and waves began to build and I heartily agreed to not go out and chance spending a stormy night or so on the island without electricity. This light has a special detail of a diamond shaped railing around the lantern room plus its bright Scarlett and white markings.. All prints come with a brief history of the lighthouse and the artist.
Small and large prints are shipped gently rolled into a postal tube for maximum protection. They do not have mats or frames to give the recipients the opportunity to choose to suit their own style.
