Fort Gratiot is the oldest lighthouse site in Michigan waters. A bacon existed there as far back as 1732 and. The first lighthouse was built in 1825. The light sits marking the juncture of the St. Clair River and Lake Huron. The current tower is 82’ tall and tours are allowed to stand on the outside at the top and take in the view. I wanted to show the current tower and keeper’s quarters in a soft afternoon after glow. It is a pleasant place to be. All prints come with a brief history of the lighthouse and the artist.
Small and large prints are shipped gently rolled into a postal tube for maximum protection. They are shipped without mats or frames so recipients may select them to suit their own style.
